Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of classical music and older Boleros. Also, she listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana loves tangos and opera, along with all dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing from an early age, along together with her mom. She received more formal training in singing at the age of 16 old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended an institution called the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. She sang at Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. Following her move in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she moved to southern California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and performs Latin American traditional music solo for many private functions. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing keep her engaged in many local projects as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a past member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing the traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
