Attorney General Pam Bondi has reported her latest net worth at close to $1.7 million, according to her 2016 financial disclosure filed by the Florida Commission on Ethics.Her net worth now has increased from $1.4 million she disclosed in 2015 and up from close to $781,000 that she reported for 2012, the year she filed her first disclosure available publicly through the commission's website.Bondi's valued at a just over $472,000 when she first ran for office.Her net worth has risen significantly in 2013 after she inherited from her father's estate, Joseph Bondi, an educator, author and former Temple Terrace mayor. His death was announced in January of 2016. Her disclosure from 2016 indicates that she held $540,000 of assets and $1.06 million in liabilities. Her home's worth increased from $825,000 to 28.5 percent increase.Her liabilities are comprised of two loans from Tampa's Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union amounting to nearly $255,000."Elected officials and other employees of government have to disclose their financials as part of the transparency initiative approved by voters more than four decades ago."
